I wanted to do Yoga - but it was a bit of a stretch.
How are you feeling today?
Did you sleep alright?
How is your lower back (is it a bit tight from too much snuggling into your couch)? When you wiggle your feet, just do it now for a few seconds, once to the left, and once to the right, can you detect tension in the sole or the toes? If you stretch your arms wide open, as if you wanted to hug the sun, do you feel an uncomfortable sting between your shoulder blades?
If yes, you are not alone (and no, you are not just old 😁)... The body needs as much waking up as our mind does - and continuously so - to remain smooth and happy, allowing even our smallest movements to flow effortlessly like water. Unfortunately, we only realise that we've tighten up when it's too late... After a short night, after too much emotional and physical stress, after intense workout sessions, or after many months of bad postural habits, all of them resulting in physical dis-ease or even pain.
Our bodies are, however, absolutely miracle machines: With the help of over 600 different muscles, each with their own function, 206 bones, making our skeleton a benchmark of bioengineering (just check out "WEST WORLD" for the same), and our heart, brain and blood, we can breath, move, digest, taste, see, feel, touch, dance, drink coffee, eat pizza, chase our pets, read books, give hugs, make love ... uff, the list is endless! Why not show your body some serious love today - and stretch it out a bit? 💖
When it comes to online classes, there is no one better than the wonderful "Yoga with Adriene". If you don't know her yet, be prepared to fall in love with her within seconds! 🥰 I really enjoy this particular DEEP STRETCH video (I practise it once a week), as it is very gentle but with amazing impact. For instance, it relaxes me so much that I have to take a nap right after it - every single time. 😴

Wishing you all a lovely day ahead!
